Most recent position I was the Chief Executive of the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), responsible for growing South Australia’s dynamic Visitor Economy sector to the ambitious $12.8 billion by 2030.  Successfully led the SATC to achieving the record high $8.1 billion visitor economy in early 2020 – achieved 12 months earlier than projected.

Developed a strategic framework that involved engaging and collaborating to build a 2030 sector plan.  The development involved small business, local government, state and federal government and the broader business community.  Through this collaborative approach the financial value and significant contribution to employment state-wide could be realised.

Under his direction, South Australia has established unprecedented growth –and set even bolder targets for the next decade through the SA Visitor Economy Sector Plan 2030 – despite the recent challenges of COVID-19 and bushfires.  During his tenure he was also responsible for strategic plans built through a collaborative approach with the Arts Sector, Regional Visitors Strategy, Nature Based Experiences and an Indigenous Tourism Plan.

Prior to the SATC, I held leadership positions with Tourism Australia internationally and in Australia.

I have worked and lived in Auckland, New York, Los Angeles, London, Adelaide and Sydney.
